MI Japan名古屋校で学んだ後、大学在学中より活動を始める。
主にジャズを基本にしながら、幅広いシーンで活躍するドラマーである。
2014年 テレビ朝日「題名のない音楽会」にスガダイローtrioとして出演。
2015年 白井晃演出、内博貴主演の舞台「ペール・ギュント」に参加。
2015年 B.A.ツィンマーマン「ある若き詩人のためのレクイエム」に大野和士の指揮による日本初演参加。
2015年 パリ・コレクションでのISSEY MIYAKE Spring Summer 2016のショーに出演。
2016年 真利子哲也 監督、柳楽優弥 主演の映画「ディストラクション・ベイビーズ」の劇中音楽に向井秀徳と共に参加。
2016年 アニメ「機動戦士ガンダム サンダーボルト」の劇中音楽に参加。音楽監督は菊地成孔。
2018年 Aimer Fan Club Tour "ete"に参加。
2018年 映画「生きてるだけで、愛。」の劇中音楽に参加。
2020年 映画「佐々木、イン、マイマイン」の劇中音楽に参加。
レコーディング、ライブサポートとして馬喰町バンド、新垣隆、世武裕子、岩崎大整など多数務める。
その他、SHING02、橋本絵莉子（チャットモンチー）、向井秀徳（ZAZEN BOYS）、山下洋輔、Kit Downes、Roy Campbell、Laurent Larcherなど共演者多数。

Masatsugu Hattori
After studying at the MI Japan in Nagoya, he entered university and began performing professionally.
He is a versatile drummer with a strong background in jazz, and is active in a wide range of musical genres.
2014 Appeared on TV Asahi's "Daimei no nai ongakukai" as a member of the Dairo Suga trio.
2015 Performed in "Peer Gynt," directed by Akira Shirai, starring Hiroki Uchi.
2015 Performed in first ever concert in Japan of B.A. Zimmermann's "Requiem for a young poet" conducted by Kazushi Ohno. 2015 Performed in ISSEY MIYAKE Spring Summer 2016 show at Paris Fashion Week.
2016 Performed with Shutoku Mukai in sound track of "Distraction Babies" directed by Tetsuya Mariko, and starring Yuya Yagira.
2016 Performed in sound track of anime, "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt," Musical director: Naruyoshi Kikuchi.
2018 Performed on Aimer's Fan Club Tour, "ete."
He's recorded and worked with various artists including
the Bakurocho Band, Takashi Niigaki, Hiroko Sebu, Taisei Iwasaki, SHING02, Eriko Hashimoto (Chat Monchy), Shutoku Mukai (Zazen Boys), Yosuke Yamashita, Kit Downes, Roy Cambell, and Laurent Larcher.
